Every year we scout for the highest caliber of graduates to join our Trading, Research or IT Department in our Amsterdam office.
We don’t hire trading clerks; we hire traders. For our Trading department we are scouting for final-year students or recent graduates from a study related to analytics, such as Finance, Econometrics or Mathematics. A flair for numbers, a passion for financial markets, and a hugely competitive streak are also a must. As a trader you will price and trade financial options, while managing a complex portfolio of financial instruments. You are expected to take initiative in improving pricing models and show innovation with new trading strategies in order to seize any opportunity that should arise in the market.
As a Junior Researcher you will work in a team with traders and researchers, right on the trading floor. You will spend your first weeks at Optiver in a structured training program to learn about options, market making and delta 1. We expect you to be versatile, flexible and very creative to think of new innovative solutions. In return we give you the freedom to pursue your ideas and implement them right into our production systems. Within a few months, you will play a key role in developing automated analysis programs and trading algorithms.
For our IT department we are scouting for talented final-year students and recent graduates in an IT related field of study, such as Computer Science, IT Engineering, Informatics, Business Engineering or similar. We offer graduate positions in Software Development and Application Engineering. You will work in a superb high-tech learning environment together with Unix-, Network-, Windows- and Software Development experts.
